Set off on an unusual stroll to discover a rare profession: that of gondola operator on the Rochefort Transporter Bridge, the last transporter bridge in France still in operation.
Guided by the gondola operator, cross the Charente from one bank to the other and immerse yourself in the daily life of the man who keeps this unique monument alive. Throughout the tour, he shares anecdotes, memories and navigation secrets.
The tour continues on the Échillais side with a visit to the Maison du Transbordeur, before returning to Rochefort on a second gondola crossing.
