The museum visit takes you through ten themed rooms, recounting the history of the town and its surroundings: geology and archaeology, military history, seaside heritage, maritime history, and more. An artistic collection as well as a documentary archive are also featured in the exhibition rooms.
Admission includes access to the keep’s terrace, 25 metres high.

- Until 8 March: every day except Monday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
- From 9 March to 3 April: Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
- From 4 April to 3 May: every day except Monday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
- From 4 to 31 May: Saturdays and Sundays from 2.30pm to 5.30pm except Ascension weekend: Thursday to Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
- 1 June to 18 September: every day except Monday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m.
European Heritage Days 19 and 20 September: open continuously from 10:00 to 6:00 p.m.
- 21/09 to 16/10: Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
- 17 October to 1 November: every day except Monday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
- 2 November to 13 December: Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
